Flowers & Friendship Forever

 

Willow The Flower Fairy is not only a tattoo,

she’s also a sign of eternal friendship true.

Willow is a bright light bringing joy and flowers wherever she goes,

she also holds loved ones close always and forever as time grows.

Willow is on my arm not only because I love fairies and magical things,

she’s also here to keep a dear friend close next to her wings.

 

Upon Willow’s head, lies a crown of Cherry Blossoms,

my favorite flower, it’s awesome.

in her right hand, she holds Daffodils,

my friend Marie’s favorite flower, up on the hills.

I added these elements before the ink was new,

to show she is a flower fairy, and to keep Marie with me for a friendship true.

 

We grew up together in church and she was a close friend.

I didn’t know her much outside of church and wish I could have

before her earthly journey came to its end.

She loved helping others and was so fun and kind,

always so supportive and kindhearted and how she always shined.

 

It was always so fun getting to spend time with her in VBS and youth group.

I also enjoyed being in pictures

where she and I were usually next to each other like our own little troupe.

She was such a great friend and the best youth group vice president ever.

I miss her dearly and she’s been the hardest loss I’ve had to endeavor.

 

We are almost two months apart,

her loss sometimes still feels brand new,

and is the hardest because she is the first person my age I knew.

It's been over six and a half years since she had to depart,

I've had Willow on my arm for two years, a piece of beautiful art.

 

I have a song out about Willow and how much she loves flowers,

“Hello I’m Willow The Flower Fairy... Cherry Blossoms and Daffodils are my favorites.”

this story however, is what she truly represents, not just her magical powers.

The song represents her too,

but not as much as this story I’m sharing with you.

 

Thank you Willow for helping me keep,

Marie’s life and memories inside my half a heart so deep.

I love and miss you so much Marie,

you were such an awesome friend, and the best vice president there could ever be.
